Ahadi Chacha

Ahadi Chacha has over 11 years of Accounting, Finance and Internal Auditing experience. His main areas of expertise are internal auditing, risk management, strategic planning and financial budgeting.

 

Ahadi has vast public sector experience having managed and/or supervised the formation and transformation of internal audit functions of the National Health Insurance Fund and the Surface and Marine Transport Regulatory Authority for the past seven years.

 

He presided over the formation of internal audit function for the National Health Insurance Fund which entailed development of the relevant internal audit policies and procedures. He was also fully involved in the development of the first corporate plan and other procedural manuals.

 

Ahadi is the Second President and the First Vice President of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Tanzania and has enormous experiences in managing changes in the internal audit functions to meet contemporary standards.

 

Prior to auditing, he worked for the Bank of Tanzania, as a bank examiner responsible for on site examination of banks and financial institutions and off-site financial analysis of the banks. As a bank examiner he had an opportunity to lead teams of examiners to audit banks which exposed him to various operational and functional banking issues including internal auditing.

 

Ahadi is a graduate in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Master of Business Administration (International Banking & Finance) and is a registered accountant with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) as an Associate Certified Public Accountant (ACPA).
